Unit 2 Tools of the historian

In this unit, the students will learn about the tools historians use to study history. Measuring and organizing time with calendars and timelines. They will look at calendars around the world, learn to organize events in a chronological order on timelines. The study of timelines is crucial in History as it gives a visual presentation of events that helps the student better analyse them. They will learn how time is organized and historical periods named. They will learn the importance of chronology and practice naming centuries and placing them on a timeline. Students will finish making a personal timeline of their own life.
